Tesla beats BYD in quarterly BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) global sales again.

Tesla deliveries jumped to 466,140 in the second quarter, sprinting past Q1's record 422,875 and Q4's 405,278. That easily beat estimates of around 445,000, according to FactSet.
In the second quarter, BYD sold 703,561 vehicles, up 98% vs. a year earlier and 27.4% vs Q1. That includes 352,163 BEV vehicles.
Note: BYD sold 351,398 PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) vehicles in Q2.

ZnWC OP : It is more accurate to compare quarterly sales because Tesla only announces quarterly global EV sales data. If you see monthly sales, the data is from Tesla Shanghai Gigafactory (or Tesla China-made). Tesla produces 100% BEV which is considered pure EV.
