$Tesla (TSLA.US)$ had just delivered a fantastic set of quarterly result , after the teleconference , Tesla’s share price was hammered down by 10%
While share price’s up and down is just a part of the game , investors need to understand the dynamic of stock market, and this applies to all the stock market worldwide.
In my opinion, there are a few reasons why Tesla’s share price drop sharply after the release of quarterly result.
1) Lack of WOW factor - the quarterly result is great as per expected, but no surprise to the market
2) Profit taking activities - it’s share price had been rallying from USD130 to USD300 prior to the release of financial numbers , and NASDAQ was just too bullish for the past few months
3) Message sent by Elon during the conference call - He mentioned that if there is still a rate hike in the future , in order to boost up the sales for the EV , there is a need to further reduce the selling price of the cars
