AI craze needs a reality check
$Palantir(PLTR.US$ As a trader i admit i never expected the run up to be this significant via the AI rally but as a long term investor and someone with tech know how, AI has yet to reach its infancy stage and speculators are trading it at teen levels. The macro market is still dealing with inflation, interest rate hike, war and potential recession, this rally clearly cannot be substantiated. Moreover, this rally is led by retail investors again, they have the slightest clue about AI either than chatgpt, which is a consumer product, while pltr is b2b with its main revenue still coming from government contracts. This bet is on how far it can expand its commercial sector in near terms.
No comments on short term trading due unpredictable big swings and short squeeze but for anyone commenting on pltr long term prospect, there is still a long run way, we are now at a price that was meant for maybe 2Q-4Q next year. So prepare for a pullback and sandbag for 12months.
