What do you think of AMD?
First of all, congratulations to the majority of friends who participated in the voting, the stock price rose after the financial report!
However, after-hours trading once rose more than 5% and then fell back. Currently, there is only a small increase, mainly depending on today.
The least number of people voted for sideways trading. If it rises today, it will continue to rise, after all, the gap has been filled and there is upward momentum. But if it falls today, it is likely to continue sideways and shuffle. The sharp decline is not yet visible.
I think there is a high possibility of both an increase and a sideways trend. Maybe the truth is in the hands of the minority who believe in the sideways trend.
Yesterday, I was tempted to do a straddle options, but I found the cost to be extremely high. There were too many people buying calls and straddles, and I didn't dare to sell straddles. If there is a sharp rise or fall, the loss would be unlimited. In the end, I bought a small amount of stocks. It seems that this decision is correct. If I made a mistake with options, I would lose all my investment, while with stocks, at most, it would be a loss of time. Good companies, even if they fall, will eventually recover.
Moreover, as long as the AI boom continues, it is impossible for a sharp drop to occur. The AI bubble will not burst until after the Fed lowers interest rates. It is still too early now.
Speaking of Tesla, $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ it is already heading towards 250 today and is expected to reach it soon. I will continue to observe.
$iShares 20+ Year Treasury Bond ETF (TLT.US)$ This wave of sharp declines is all opportunities. But it just broke through the support level, so I dare not enter the market hastily. I am prepared to wait for a signal of a turnaround in the near future. There is a serious divergence between stocks and bonds, so it is time to reduce some shareholdings.
Currently, I am holding the following industry ETFs:
So I am both offensive and defensive. Cash reserves have also increased, waiting for the right time to buy TLT and Tesla at a bargain.
Frustrating $Utilities Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLU.US)$ Sold, reached the stop-loss point, had to cut the losses and switched to XLV.
XLV false breakout, fell back, had to cut losses. See the chart:

高贵的阿德莱德 OP : Why was it time to write a post? AMD fell back so fast, I'm a crow Don't yell at me, ha, I've been harassed too. If it falls, there will still be people who buy it; I think it will continue to trade sideways.
Ringo想买包 高贵的阿德莱德 OP : I've been cheated on this several times, and I don't like it emotionally
高贵的阿德莱德 OP Ringo想买包 : I was lucky enough to only buy a few. Stocks and bonds have all plummeted today, so I can't blame AMD's earnings report at all. The semiconductor industry has risen so much this year, and the pullback is reasonable. It's hard for AMD to shake NVDA's position; it's just that NVDA is ridiculously expensive, so I really can't buy it...
高贵的阿德莱德 OP Ringo想买包 : Even though I only bought a few, I couldn't hold it; I just switched to Nvidia
mubbiiee : There are no grievances when it falls to 80. Financial reports can't continue to be read. Su Ma's revenue has increased tenfold in three years, relying on a product that doesn't exist yet, hehe. No horse dares to be this crazy .
高贵的阿德莱德 OP mubbiiee : Shaking AI concept stocks were collectively sold off, and Qualcomm also hit the streets. But I don't think it's possible for AMD to fall as low as 80, unless it's a real AI concept thunderstorm, such as Microsoft or Nvidia, which breaks the ground
