Starbucks - worth the buck?
Share prices are now back to USD 100 per share.
There are some misses amidst the good results, so even though share prices are up, here are some of the key points investors should take note of.
1. North America contributes to 73% of net revenue

Even though Starbucks is seemingly everywhere wherever we go, it is still surprising to see North America contributing 73% of Starbucks' total revenue.
22% is coming from international markets while 5% is via channel development.
2. Margins continue to go up, while store counts continue an impressive growth

Just as you thought Starbucks is already everywhere, and it is still planning to grow more stores around the world.
The global store count hit 37,222, which is an increase of 7% YoY.
With the economy now reopened, Starbucks is thriving.
On top of revenue growth, the operating margin improved by +50bps YoY to 17.4%.
3. China is the next frontier

With China now reopened, Starbucks is more ready to tap into the reopening.
China's segment recovery surged +46%, while international markets continue to impressive growth at 24%.
