Nio ES8 SUV burst into flames after a collision, and the driver is dead
This is the second fire incident involving NIO EV in less than 2 months. The last was a battery swap station fire on June this year in Jiangmen, Guangdong Province. That fire also raised safety concern and I didn't see any follow up.

As electric vehicles (EVs) become more widely adopted, concerns about their safety have been raised. In June 2023, a separate incident occurred in Zhejiang Province, China, where a Volkswagen ID.4 vehicle collided with a stone. Shockingly, within less than 3 seconds, the car rapidly caught fire, leading to the tragic death of all four occupants.

ZnWC OP DreamyLucid : Not sure if it is the battery quality or the installation. This is a problem when too many parties touch the battery, no one will admit fault when it caught fire. I put the link at the bottom, you can read the details.
