$Alibaba(BABA.US)$ the cloud computing unit of Alibaba Group Holding Ltd, had unveiled on 03 Aug 23 (Thursday) two open-source artificial intelligence-powered large language models (LLM).
Two LLMs called Qwen-7B and Qwen-7B-Chat, with each model boasting 7 billion parameters, these 2 LLMs could be deployed for commercial use.
This also marks the first time that a big Chinese tech company has open-sourced their LLM. This will further enhance the technological advancement and industrial application of LLMs.

More companies would be able to follow how Alibaba have build on. Because Alibaba has a pre-trained model which allow companies to enhance and build on it. (Licenses need to purchased but Alibaba has mentioned that they are keeping it low).
I am currently testing on the pre-trained model from Alibaba, will share more on the performance metric and how enterprise would respond to it for commercial and business use.
