MY Midday Insight | State Dishes Sides, Banquet Market; Bursa Malaysia Sides at 1445.34 Points.
The state election is approaching, the market is cautious, the horse stock market is closed, and the price continues to be horizontal at 1445.34 points
The three major US stock indices all closed down last week, but the non-farm payrolls data released by the US Department of Labor on Friday fell short of expectations, easing market concerns that the Fed would continue to maintain a hawkish stance.
As a result, the Asian stock market was not affected too much by the negative sentiment of US stocks, with mixed ups and downs on Monday.
Horse stocks followed the market and remained flat throughout early trading after opening slightly below 1444.89.
As of the closing time of the market at 12:30 noon, the Composite Index closed at 1445.34 points, down 0.13 points, or 0.01%.
The half-day turnover was 1,657.33 million 6,800 shares, with a turnover value of RM666.7405,931.
The FTSE Malaysia All Shares Index closed at 10619.18 points, starting at 1.81 points.
There were 272 rising stocks, 429 falling stocks, 420 with no ups and downs, and 1,153 with no trades.
Also, as of 12:30 p.m., the price of ringgit was 4.5553 against the US dollar.
In terms of stocks, political concept stocks are more active in trading, among which $SAPNRG (5218.BMS)$With a turnover of 152,211,400 shares, it climbed to the runner-up in popular stocks. The stock price increased by 11.11%, or 0.5 cents, to 5 cents.
$ASB (1481.BMS)$It also ranked third in popular stocks. At one point it was 2 cents to 18.5 cents, but when the market was closed, it still started at 1 cent or 6.06%, leaving behind 17.5 cents.
As for the golf equipment chain retailer that suddenly plummeted last Friday -- $MSTGOLF (5316.BMS)$The decline stopped and rebounded today. Although it once fell 6.5 cents to 53 cents in early trading, some buyers then took advantage of the low price to help reverse the stock's gains. The market closed and rose by 4 cents, or 6.72%, to 63.5 cents.
