Berkshire's Top Holdings: 78% Invested in Five Stocks
Warren Buffett's $Berkshire Hathaway-A(BRK.A.US$ reported more than $20 billion in equity investment gains for the second quarter, and over three-quarters of its stock portfolio were tied up in just five names.
Berkshire Hathaway reported an unrealized gain of nearly $26 billion, largely driven by its $177.6 billion stake in $Apple(AAPL.US$, which fueled the market rally with an 18% climb in Q2; while Apple's stock took a hit due to a year-over-year revenue decline forecast for Q3, it is still up 40% YTD.
At the end of June, Berkshire's largest long-term holdings continued to be $Coca-Cola(KO.US$, $American Express(AXP.US$, and $Bank of America(BAC.US$.
