The FTSE Composite Index reached a high of 1449 in early trading, then the increase narrowed, fluctuating narrowly around 1445 after noon trading.
The overall trading sentiment was slightly optimistic. Bank stocks generally rose, helping the Composite Index maintain a slight upward trend; however, IHH Healthcare Group's plan to list its Indian subsidiary was treated coldly by investors, and the stock price declined in response, dragging down the market.
When the market closed at 5 p.m., the FTSE Composite Index closed at 1445.81 points, starting slightly at 0.6 points or 0.04%.
The full-day trading volume was 3.132,267,500 shares, with a transaction value of RM1,34,66,3393 million.
The FTSE Malaysia All Stock Index reported 10658.01 points, starting at 0.64 points.
There were 330 rising stocks, 482 falling stocks, 457 had no ups or downs, and 1005 had no transactions.
At 5 p.m., the dollar was cashed out in ringgit, at the level of 4.5603.
In terms of stocks, trading of political concept stocks is still active. Among them $SAPNRG (5218.MY)$It topped the list of popular stocks, with a stock price of 11.11% or 0.5 cents to 5 cents.
$ASB (1481.MY)$It then became the third most popular stock. At one point, it rose to 2 cents to 18.5 cents, but when the market closed, it still started at 1 cent or 6.06%, and retired at 17.5 cents.
As for the golf equipment chain retailer that suddenly plummeted last Friday -- $MSTGOLF (5316.MY)$The decline stopped today and rebounded. Although it fell 6.5 cents to 53 cents in early trading, some buyers then took advantage of the low entry to help the stock reverse its gains. When the market closed, it rose 5 cents or 8.40% to 64.5 cents.
