Tesla CFO Kirkhorn steps down, replaced by Chief Accounting Officer Vaibhav Taneja
Kirkhorn steeped down as CFO is different from Xpeng head of autonomous resignation. The former served in the financial department which can be smoothly succeeded by Taneja who is an experienced CAO and has worked with Elon Musk since 2016. The latter is an Autonomous expert who will affect a major part of the company's technical continuity if left.
Someone didn't tell you Kirkhorn served as CFO for only 4 years although he worked in Tesla for 13 years.

Tesla revealed in a filing Monday morning that Chief Financial Officer Zachary Kirkhorn has stepped down from the company as of August 4. Kirkhorn served as CFO for the past four years and has been with the company for 13 years.
Kirkhorn’s replacement will be Vaibhav Taneja, who is currently the chief accounting officer and will remain in that position. ZnWC OP : Based on the article, Kirkhorn will stay til the end of the year so the transition will be smooth. Tesla and Kirkhorn has not revealed the reason for his step down. Any speculation that this is 'not normal' is just spreading FUD.
