melmell OP Exactly : Not very long. <1 year. They are all diluted cost. Buy & sell, buy & sell, continue bsbsbs especially during earning report or special news, then keep a few for long term only.

PokaiTrader : somewhat my strategy. Look at the price action cycles. On charts weekly Vs daily. Lower timeframes are too granular, usually noise.
AAPL recently climbed up multi day from dip consequent to JPY carry trade unwind. Was pickup time then. Topping out a bit now, so some small pullback expected, further buy zone with better confidence the dip is over.
On hindsight, some product launch expected next few weeks n (imminent) FED rate cuts... so pickup aim for 240.00 mark n tp.
However good a ticker, will always cycle per market, news, events. These up/down between earning cycle is medium term opportunity good 10%~20% tp. Try read the mm n hedge fund momentum moves then ride their coat tails. Impossible to nail the exact timing.
