  • Moomoo Lily : Dear Client:

Your holding in Maybank Retail Money Market-I Fund did not incur an actual loss on August 28th. The negative return is because the fund has paid monthly dividend of 0.0017 per unit on that day, so the net asset value (NAV) of the unit decreased by 0.0016 to 1.0125 on August 27 from 1.0141 of the previous day.The dividend amount will be paid to your account on August 30, you can check the exact amount of the dividend from APP-[Account]-[Funds]-[Assets in Transit]. to check the cash dividend amount.

By subtracting the amount of dividend per unit and the decrease in NAV per unit, you can calculate that the NAV per unit of the fund actually increased by 0.0001 on that day, which is a positive gain. You can view Invested 10k Return on the details page for this fund, no actual loss occurred on August 28 after accounting for the dividend amount.

  • ELEON Moomoo Lily : i used her screen capture as example.

    Dividend for 24 and 25 August + 27 August = 0.99 *3 = 2.97. but he get 1.97 (one day dividend  missing)

    And

Dividend on 28 August. He should get 0.99, but the transaction is deducted 15.8. so no dividend for 28 August.

I dont know how much in his Asset in transit. but for my case. I lost around 2 days of dividend after I add the asset in transit back into account. The promise of daily dividend is broken.

Correct me if I am wrong. Thanks

  • Moomoo Buddy : Hi, to clarify the plus minus return over there is the difference of the latest NAV compared to previous NAV. As for the posting date as at 28-Aug-24, it was meant to compare the latest NAV, 27-Aug-24, 1.0141 compared to previous day NAV, 26-Aug-24, 1.0125, therefore the approximate changes was in negative, -15.80. Please check your account Fund Dividend has been credited around 30-Aug-24. The fund dividend amount calculation is Units multiply with Dividend per unit of RM0.0017.

  • RayLee949 : Don't understand, does buying at 10K mean a loss of 15 dollars?
