Arrayfunction : Would I be right to assume a 13D effectively means some big fund or institution is buying up a bunch of stock and this signals confidence in the company?

Or are there more crazy options like someone buying a ton of it, knowing they will lose the value and sell to avoid capital gains tax?

Jaguar8 OP Arrayfunction : I’m more leaning into either monopolizing the company board or this person has confidence in the company and probably has an upcoming PR. I try to avoid China owned stocks. They are more P&D

Arrayfunction Jaguar8 OP : That makes way more sense now! I actually watched a YouTube video by Patrick Boyle (pretty hilarious if you like dry/deadpan humor) covering how the stock market works in China. I didn't quite understand the implications of everything. But I did catch that those companies behave in ways that give existing shareholders more perks vs just issuing new stock offerings.
