MicroStrategy has just announced they will issue $500 million in convertible senior notes to buy more bitcoin, reflecting its continued goal of packing its treasury's coffers with the premier digital asset.

Let's not forget that Michael Saylor was laughed at when he started down this road in 2020, but as we can see with the recent spate of announcements by other firms now pursuing corporate treasury strategies with bitcoin, no one's laughing anymore.

As an interesting aside, further purchases of bitcoin will see Microstrategy knocking on the door of the largest holder in the world.

This chart shows the top 15 most valuable addresses and is headed up by an address with 248,597 BTC ($17.5 billion). Microstrategy's current holdings of 214,400 ($14.5 billion) are right up there with these market-moving wallet sizes.
