What are Warrants ?
Structured warrants are leveraged derivative instruments issued by banks and financial institutions. Structured warrants derive their value from, and generally move in greater percentages than the price movements in the underlying assets that they track.
Types of Warrants
1. A call warrant gives investors the right, not the obligation to buy the underlying asset. Typically, the price of a call warrant increases as the underlying asset price goes up.
1. A put warrant gives investors the right, not the obligation to sell an underlying. Typically, the price of a put warrant increases as the underlying asset price goes down.
