Reskill provides training services for businesses. The mission of Reskill is to deliver adult education to as many people as possible, aiming to create a society where learning as an adult is a norm through solving the human resources development challenges of companies and expanding the business.
In May 2022, Recurrent Co., Ltd. spun off its corporate business division to establish Reskill. Koki Matsuda, the current president of Reskill, assumed the position of president of Recurrent in July 2015, and in May 2019, he led the start of corporate training business related to business skills in general.
At that time, Recurrent was offering corporate training and individual IT school businesses, with corporate training mainly conducted during the day and IT school activities in the evening. Due to differences in employee working hours and slight differences in business scope, Reskill was established to transfer corporate training business and enhance operational efficiency.
The executive director of the former Recurrent, Koki Matsuda's father, Naoyuki Matsuda, is in charge, but Reskill has no capital relationship with Recurrent or Naoyuki Matsuda.
Reskill's training services aim to improve the skills and develop the capabilities of employees in companies, comprising two types: 'biz training' and 'tech training.'
The revenue composition ratio for the fiscal year ending March 2024 shows that biz training accounts for 40.6% and tech training accounts for 59.4%. Biz training covers general business skills applicable to all industries, while tech training is for engineering and DX training for IT novices, mainly serving IT companies.
The main purposes of the training are skill enhancement for employees (training to learn new technologies and business knowledge to be utilized in daily work), leadership development (training to cultivate leadership and management skills for managers and leaders), and thorough compliance awareness (training to strictly adhere to business based on laws and internal rules).
Reskill conducts training marketing, sales, content production, and system provision, while lectures are delivered by instructors under outsourcing contracts.
There are three formats for providing training: 'In-house training', 'Public courses', and 'Video courses'. In-house training targets only one client company and can be conducted on-site, online, or a combination of both. Public courses are participatory courses with set schedules where multiple companies gather. Video courses are e-learning courses. The business models for each format are as follows.
