Tiandi Tong Digital Network is the first to apply!
The second 5G network battle begins! $CDB(6947.MY$Be the first to apply and submit a proposal to the Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to deploy Malaysia's second 5G network!
Group CEO Dato' Ehamnawai stated in a statement that Tiandi Tong Digital aims to build the most advanced 5G network and accelerate widespread adoption by consumers and enterprises.
“We have the opportunity to use the existing solid infrastructure, financial strength and strong ecosystem to build a 5G ecosystem for the country.”
The group emphasized that it has 30 years of experience in operating large-scale mobile infrastructure and operates the most extensive and modern 4G network in the country, so it is also capable of providing an affordable, fast, and efficient second 5G network for the people of Malaysia.
The statement also stated that by the end of 2024, two-thirds of the company's networks will be upgraded. The company already has 0.01 million8,000 sites and is ready to rapidly deploy advanced 5G and 5G technology.
“To ensure that millions of Malaysians can benefit in the 5G and AI era, the Group is redoubling its efforts to promote the country's digital transformation by developing the best 4G/5G product portfolio on the market.”
The former DPRK government originally planned a national digital company (DNB) formed by the Ministry of Finance to establish a single 5G wholesale network; however, the unity government changed policies and planned to establish a second 5G network.
In addition to the Tiandi Connect digital network, $MAXIS(6012.MY$Rumor has it that they are also eyeing the second 5G network.
Currently, Tianditong Digital Network has only issued a statement stating that it has submitted an application for the second 5G network, but the details of the proposal have not been announced.
