It is this time of the year to recap and review my investment results.
2024 was a wild ride for the stock market! Big tech soraed leaving many investors feeling like they were on rollercoaster. The ecomony threw us some curveballs and infaltion kept us on our toes. It wasn't always smooth sailing but in the end, the market managed to climb some impressive heights!
Let's jump right in to review how am I doing this year, more importantly how much I made in the end of 2024.
The Worst Month of 2024
For the last 12 months, April is the worst month in term of gain of my porfolio. Within that month, there is one whole week, 5 days in a streak where the losses just kept widen. Overall, it was down by over $35k! It was a rather sad month.
The Best Month of 2024
Let's beat the drum and reveal the best month of 2024. January comes to be the champion with the best gain of $62k! That's some happy moments to see so much of a gain
The Best Performing Stock of 2024
For the best performing stock in my portfolio, it is rather an easy guess if you followed what I posted in the past. You might have guess it, yup it is$Tesla (TSLA.US)$. Tesla started rather weak this year with a pretty strong retreat to around $130. The majority of the gain came after the US election where everyone knows the reason for the stock to be on steroid. Anyway, things are well executed for Elon and I am happy to be on the rocket.
The Best Performing Stock in My Portfolio
Since I started investing, this will be the best stock in term of its return.$Apple (AAPL.US)$has given me an incredible return of over 3628%. It is a very long hold and I am very glad to be able to envision where the company is heading for the very long turn.
My Overall 2024 Return
Finally, let's reveal the overall results for 2024. I have to say that this is one of the best years I had since investing. Overall, I am making close to $250k although I didn't quite actively trade in the market. Tech stocks has been one of the key dominant factors in achieving this. I basically own all the Mag 7 (some called it MAMA ANT) stocks and most of them have been performing really really well.
