A Former executive at $MSFT shares his view on the industry and company:

- He thinks most of the workloads for genAI will be in the cloud. He sees all the important tech companies developing cloud technologies.

- He thinks $Oracle(ORCL.US)$ is interesting because so much of the client's data resides in $Oracle(ORCL.US)$ .

- Five years ago, $Alphabet-A(GOOGL.US)$ cloud was the best for AI. Now, he thinks every Big Tech is a specialist in certain things. For example, $Microsoft(MSFT.US)$ 's edge is having Office and integrating that ecosystem, and AWS has some exciting security services.

- He thinks it is important to understand that people have been trained to use a service like BigQuery, similar to an $Oracle(ORCL.US)$ database, over the years. Companies can't just throw away that knowledge. They will have to extend those people even when it comes to AI.

- In his view, there are still more than 50% of workloads on-prem. But he also believes that +25% of the data will still be on-prem because it is expensive to move.

- In his view, you can't really take advantage of all the technology unless you are in the cloud.
