A newbie's H1
I'm a newbie at stocks, but watching dozens of informational videos and this community's guidance has helped me immensely. For a few months, I bought ~5USD worth of stocks everyday (DailyCostAveraging), diversifying and dividing my savings well into 3 funds, $Schwab US Dividend Equity ETF (SCHD.US)$ , $Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQ.US)$ , and $Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO.US)$ . Very happy with this humble P/L in my first 6 months. To those who are new to investing and are reading this, when in doubt, be sure to clarify and ask! There is no shame in being curious and wanting to know more. For me, I look long term, and hopefully these efforts will pay off! 😆

Censorship here : Great statement, I do recommend switching qqq for qqqm for less fees
d11xon OP Censorship here : how do i do that? i have to sell all my current stocks in qqq then DCA into QQQM?
Censorship here d11xon OP : Yes you would have to sell and switch to qqqm .
d11xon OP Censorship here : are there any significant benefits in selling ~5USD everyday just like DCA, or does it not matter much?
Censorship here d11xon OP : If u have a big amount of it most definitely. Always layer out of large positions. If your still early into your journey and don’t have many shares yet it’s not needed
d11xon OP : i see, thanks for the insight
ToTheGalaxy : Do you hold any stock or only ETF ?
d11xon OP ToTheGalaxy : only ETF, isn't stocks a little more risk?
ToTheGalaxy d11xon OP : I buy both stocks and ETFs to balance between return and risk
