A Thought Experiment
Imagine you buy a gold bar and then immediately go bury it in the ground. Only 2 people know you have it, you and the person you got it from.
There isn't any other asset I've found that can replicate this scenario to achieve the same thing...Only 2 people know.
Except for Bitcoin. Now, imagine someone sends you 1 BTC, you don't want anyone to know you have it so you use a new wallet to receive it. Now, things are a little different but the same goal is still achieved. You know you have it, the person who sent it knows, and the Blockchain knows the wallet where that BTC went. and that's it. Who owns that wallet is still a mystery. Until you spend it.
But thats just like the gold bar, when you decide to dig it up and use it well then people know you have it.

Mynor Garcia OP : Well I guess actually cash does come close but I don't count it because the whole world is about to start pushing CBDCs and they'll end cash as thing entirely.
