About ViX ~⚆.̮⚆✨

October is famous for being a month when the ViX tends to rise. In the past, October has experienced significant crises leading to stock market crashes, causing a deterioration in sentiment, which can make the market bearish on its own (referred to as the October effect).
However, there has never been a bullish market cycle other than the Corona Shock that has experienced numerous crashes, such as the September 2008 Lehman Shock and the October 1929 Great Depression (the latter ended in a bullish market cycle and entered a bearish market cycle for about 17 years). There are still more examples like these.
Excessive pessimism is not recommended, as the average October ViX increase rate over the past 10 years is around 24%. Beginning of October, the ViX was at 18.65 and now at 21, resulting in an increase of about 13%. Historically, after the ViX rises, it tends to decline from November to December, so if the ViX rises up to around the historical average of +24%, it may be a buying opportunity. I think this information is beneficial for those who want to take positions from now until the end of the year, although it's uncertain how high it will go.
18.65 x 1.24 = ViX 23.12.
It could be considered a buying opportunity if the ViX rises above this value of 23.12. This could also be seen as an investment strategy.
