According to opinion polls, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is regaining popularity over rival Benny Gantz.
According to the Lazar Research poll quoted by the Israeli newspaper Maariv, the respondents'42% are NetanyahuThey answered that they were suitable to be prime minister, and 40% chose Mr. Gantz.
Opinion polls show that if elections are held today, Mr. Netanyahu's Likud Party will win the most seats in the parliament with 22 seats, and Mr. Gantz's National Unity Party will be in 2nd place with 20 seats.
Mr. Netanyahu has faced severe criticism for not being able to sign a prisoner of war release agreement during the Gaza War, and in previous opinion polls, the popularity of him and the same party lags behind Mr. Gantz.
