I have been holding AMD for 10 years now. Most of the time, it doesn't get any love from the investment community. There are a few experts at the seekingalpha community who understand semicon industry & share analysis of AMD's products vs competitors. I get a lot of knowledge reading comments there & get the comfort of holding the stock long term, despite the violent stock price swings.
Jacky Tam OP digimonX : it's because they are buying from high price like $150+... i started it like around 130, and keep average down when it deeps, if it deep more, i will buy more, this is how cost of dollar works, and if you have 401k, it's the same theory. panic won't help the stock to go up, but patience would do.
