ASIC r purpose built chips which perform better and efficiently in specific tasks, especially in ai training. GPU r general purposes, they can be used for any intensive computing purposes, including ai training. Both works hand in hand and have their own markets, ASIC providers r not true competitors for GPU maker like nvidia n amd. In fact nvidia is having the same price action as amd. Market shoot first then think later, the devil is in the details.
