digimonX : yes, u got it right. These guys have just finished playing with bitcoin/crypto - tanked crypto by 20% - 50% that last 4 - 8 weeks. They have accummulated at the bottom & crypto has recovered sharply since the last weekend. These guys have now switched attention to tech stocks. All these straight lines down upon market open on AMD, Arm, Micron, nVidia & TSMC are not acts of retail investors. There are of course retail investors who got spooked & sold along. Nearly 12% or 9 million shares of AMD's trading volume yesterday were shorts. This is the highest, percentage-wise among the names mentioned above. Investors will just have to ride this out. I've seen this too many times the 10 yrs I have been invested in AMD.
