10baggerbamm : well you can think of it this way it's the same price as it was back in January and by the way Microsoft hasn't moved in a year either.
交流道的小赢熊 OP 10baggerbamm : What do you mean? Microsoft has been moving up and down for the past year. I remember it was 300+ around this time last year.
Long term investors should just buy and forget, come back in a year or two.
For day and swing traders, they need to identify the ideal entry price to maximise profits. That takes years of experience but even then, there's no guarantee of success.
Many people made losses (realised/unrealised) either because they enter at the wrong time or didn't take the profits at the right time and then it crashed..
Most important things are to manage risks and stay away from junk stocks as much as possible.
For AMD, it is relatively safe..just have to wait this downtrend out.
10baggerbamm : my point is is that Microsoft has done nothing draw a line going back a year and AMD the return on AMD has been zero since January they missed earnings (guidance) two out of three quarters so like I said before this time the song should be two out of three is bad. it comes down to Hope with AMD, you have to hope they have more than 10% revenue growth come next year because that's all they forecasted was a 10% increase by the spending from hyperscalers and that sucks when you look at the growth that Nvidia is getting AMD comes out and only says 10% increase. if you go back to the beginning of the year the first quarter at the end Wall Street was expecting $5 billion they grew at 4 billion then she raised the bar a little bit so their growth is lagging even though their gpus didn't exist a year ago and they're at 5 billion right now their rate of increase is marginal at this point it's not exponential
