  • Penguin : The bears are a bit greedy; making that much money isn't enough.

  • a100b : It still doesn't look strong

  • digimonX : Short interest has been building since Apr.  Data in the 2nd chart below is delayed by 2 weeks.  Based on the recent price actions, we can make an educated guess that short interest should have increased even more the last 2 weeks.

Recently, there have been a series of attacks by several anal-ysts & news outlets.  The downgrade by MS keep being repeated daily even up till yesterday while none of the good reports is being referenced.  As such, there has been a lack of buying interest.  Every attempt to move higher is easy sold down.

The glass half full view - having low expectations can sometimes be good.  If expectations are too high e.g. like for Micron, any "just ok" result or guidance can result in a sell-off.

Let's see if the new laptops based on Strix Point apus available for sales fr 15 July can get some pple excited again.  Based on leaked results, the apus have great performance & some sources mentioned that partners esp Asus will have good quantities of laptops for sale from day 1. If this is true, then AMD would have sold many Strix Point apus to the various manufacturers.  Keep our fingers crossed.

Shorts dampen upward movement.  However, when the tide turns, short covering will propel the price even higher, if the parties concerned have not covered in time.

  • DavidCCL OP : There are too many short-term retail investors, and if you lose a little, they will sell. Basically, they buy high and sell low and then say that this stock is bad, but then buy it back after the price rises. This process of operation is repeated again...

Be kind, don't sabotage or create fear for others to panic sell. Don't be an asshole.
