$Advanced Micro Devices (AMD.US)$ you have to question what would happen... their acquisition which won't close for a few quarters is going to open up a new market for them that they didn't have in the past. and we're seeing they're being rewarded now with upgrades this morning and with fairly significant appreciation of price. what is going to happen if Blackwell is delayed on the 28th we find out number one number two what will happen with the guidance from Nvidia when they lower it for Q4 and for q1 because of this delay? I think we're going down very hard after hours and the next day on the 29th. but how will this impact AMD? will people shift their investments from Nvidia to AMD in anticipation that going forward they're going to be a continual beneficiary and Lisa is firing on all cylinders and guided higher than the most recent quarter?

  • Money Thrill : There is something in your argument , [undefined] but not everything.
Data centers are incredibly complex, especially those built for AI. The core of these systems are the chips that perform the calculations. This is the market that Nvidia dominates. The demands of AI computing are too high for some technology. Companies have had to retrofit their data centers with a different network technology like InfiniBand to keep up. This is extremely "expensive", but Nvidia has an answer.
It recently released its "Spectrum-X platform", which allows data centers to remain Ethernet-based and run advanced AI. This represents a major NEW revenue stream for Nvidia.
That the Blackwell is delayed ... i read that customers give a higher price to have it First ?
i suppose, not sure, that the earnings of Nvidia shall be fairly high ? [undefined][undefined]

  • 10baggerbamm OP Money Thrill : I'm well aware of that Nvidia is the 800 lb gorilla that they are the dominant leader that they have in France and now it's going to video everything is multiple steps ahead of the competition. there's a lot of people here that are smarter than me that can go into the details of what each chip is capable of doing I look at it from an investment approach I look at it from having read more annual reports and quarterly reports that I can remember having been on the wrong end of disappointing earnings countless times and I can't seem to wrap my head around any offset that Jensen can say I mean let's use your new market that they've created a new category.

I don't know what the revenue stream is going to be you don't know what it's going to be but I don't believe anything we'll offset a loss of a lack of shipping a product like Blackwell. even Jensen back in June and I can dig this up he said Blackwell will represent the greatest revenue driving force in a company's history. so if we just use his own words there's nothing else that they can use to try to offset a delay. and it's my feeling and I'm I hope I'm wrong... but I don't see a single bobblehead analyst on TV on Twitter on any station that is saying to buy puts on Nvidia that is saying that a delay will result in an earnings revision going down. how is it that no one is doing this why is it that no one is not saying this I can't wrap my head around.. if you delay a product you are not going to have revenues coming in therefore your guidance must be lower it's as simple as that and I think they're going to get crucified I think the stock is going to go down 30% conservatively because I believe it's going to affect two quarters. I believe Jensen will say that come Q2 next year they will have shipped everything that they haven't shipped yet so they will have a massive blowout quartet  like you've never seen before knock the cover off the ball but I think the stock is going to get severely punished after hours and the next day and I think it's going to take chips down significantly.

and I would use weakness to buy I would use that weakness to go out to the end of Q2 and figure this out before you do it to make sure you buy a call option that's far enough out to cover their next quarter's earnings in Q2. and I think you could buy a 130 strike at that point and do very very well. or by the leveraged ETF NVDU.. because I believe you'll get a double out of it
