AI computers account for 14% of all PCs shipped from April to June = research company

According to research firm Canalis, personal computers suitable for the use of artificial intelligence (AI) accounted for 14% of all personal computers shipped in the April-June period. The AI PC market is led by Apple (AAPL.O), opens new tab. It is said that performance for AI has led to a rekindling in demand.
PC manufacturers and semiconductor manufacturers have high expectations for AI personal computers that can process AI tasks directly on the system without going through the cloud. An AI personal computer is equipped with a neural processing unit (NPU) specialized in AI task processing.
According to the Canalis report, Apple accounts for about 60% of the AI PC market.

A Canalis analyst pointed out that “with a strong foundation, shipments of AI PCs are likely to gain further momentum in the second half of this year.”
