Air France and Transavia extend suspension of flights to Beirut
Since Iran and Hezbollah's reaction to the murder of Hamas leader Ismail Hanye is expected, and there is a risk that the dispute will escalate, Air France and its low-cost airline Transavia will at least fly to BeirutSuspended until ThursdayI confirmed that it would be done.
According to AFP, the resumption of flights to the Lebanese capital, which has been suspended since 7/29, “depends on a new assessment of the local situation.”
Following a rocket launch from Lebanon that killed 12 people in the Golan Heights under Israeli occupation, and after Israel promised retaliation, the two French airlines first suspended operations on this route.
Air France said it “is constantly monitoring developments in the geopolitical situation in the regions where the company's aircraft operate and pass through the skies in order to ensure the highest level of flight safety and security.”
