I have been saying since 2018 do not touch China stocks, there's a structural reversal in China economy since 2016.
the anchor for its decline has been nailed in 2020, there will be at least a 30 year decline in its economy, it may not collapse, but it will not grow, it will be like a zombie, not living, not dead.
anyway, you don't have to listen to me, you can just see things unfold as time goes on.
I just want to mention something that I feel is important (I will come to that in a moment):
There are 3 risks in China economy, the Long Term structural risk, Short Term external risk, and Mid Term political risk.
Long Term:
debt, housing, economic policy U-turn since Emperor Xi took power, etc, those are well mentioned and well known, I won't go into that.
Short Term:
Trump coming to power. This also is evident, if Trump comes to power.
Mid Term:
this is the latest happening experts have observed, and is what I feel an interesting twist to the saga.
Emperor Xi losing grip on power, it was evident last week, with giving up on land to India, change of personnel, economic stimulus (which the Emperor opposed a few times in the past), it seems part of the old Wen Jia Bao gang is now trying to steer the economy back using the pre-Xi methods.
The mid term risk is this:
if the old gang is so desperate and Emperor Xi is willing to let go of some of his power, it means the economy is really bad.
everybody knows (at least those who are well versed in the way of the CCP) when official GDP growth is 4%, it should be 0% if not -4 to -8%, when desperate moves like stock market stimulus is triggered, it means some people will be drawn into the false facade and think there is a boom coming in the economy.
there won't be, unless Kamala is in power.
Cold War 2.0 will be fought until US wins it.
then we will see another new stage of global order.
