Alibaba Cloud's Bailian Platform Exceeds 200K Registered Users

Zhou Jingren, CTO of Alibaba Cloud, announced at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference 2024 that the Bailian platform has surpassed 200,000 registered users since its launch in June last year. Downloads of its open-source model, Tongyi Qianwen, have also exceeded 20 million.

Zhou emphasized the growing use of Bailian for innovative AI applications and Alibaba Cloud's efforts to make generative AI accessible to all developers and enterprises.

Alibaba Cloud also introduced "Xiaoying", an AI assistant for its Elastic Desktop Service (EDS), offering functions like assisted writing and automatic translation. Xiaoying is available on the personal version of EDS and will soon be launched for the enterprise version.
