Alibaba, JD Said to Open up to Each other in Payment, Logistics
$BABA-W (09988.HK)$ 's Taobao Tmall and $JD-SW (09618.HK)$ 's e-commerce platform will open up to each other, with a consensus on cooperation in logistics and payments, according to Chinese media.
Among which, Taobao Tmall will soon officially tap into $JD LOGISTICS (02618.HK)$ , and JD will also introduce Cainiao, which is under Alibaba, as self-pickup points. It is expected to go online in mid-October.
JD will officially integrate Alipay, which is owned by Alibaba, report added, and is expected to be launched on the eve of "Double 11". Currently, when a consumer place an order on JD, the default payment methods are in the following order: JD Pay, UnionPay QuickPass, and $TENCENT (00700.HK)$ 's WeChat Pay.
