Alibaba, Meituan, Kuaishou, Xiaomi and Sunny Optical – this week's e-commerce and smartphone stats

Chinese stocks – with the exception of some, such as Sunny Optical – are once again seeing a setback to their share price gains this week, after China released dismal GDP and retail sales figures on Monday morning.

A closer look into the retail sales figures, as well as preliminary data released by the International Data Corporation on smartphone shipments, may help investors set expectations going into the third quarter earnings season.
