$Allianz Income and Growth MDis (LU0943347566.MF)$ hi guys, ...

$Allianz Income and Growth MDis(LU0943347566.MF)$ hi guys, first time posting  i have been holding this stock for about two years, avg cost is 6.80  i stopped dca about close to a year back. now i'm thinking if i should continue DCA to have compound returns.
i got 2 questions:
1. how will this fund be affected if feds lower interest rates.
2. we all know that US economy is not doing well, debt is at the ATH, war happening and now with BRICS. not to mention nasdaq is currently a bubble waiting to burst.  how will all these affects this fund?

  • SuperNoobPaPa : 1. Theoretically it should benefits the fund because the fund composition is 1/3 equities 1/3 high yield bonds 1/3 convertible bonds.

    • Equities will benefit from low interest rate.
    • High yield bonds will benefit from drop in interest rate provided no credit event.
    • Convertible bond is a hybrid of the two above. So will benefit.

    2. In contrast US is doing very well, that is why the country is holding the interest rate higher for longer. Other developed economies like Switzerland, EU and Canada has cut interest rates.
