In the April-June (2nd quarter) financial results announced by Google's parent company US Alphabet on the 23rd, sales exceeded analysts' expectations. Demand for cloud computing and search advertising contributed.
Sales for the April-June period were 71.3 billion 60 million dollars on a basis excluding payments to partners. Analyst forecasts compiled by Bloomberg were 70.7 billion dollars. Net profit was 1.89 dollars per share, which also exceeded analysts' expectations (1.84 dollars).
