Amazon $190 Calls Attract $2 Million Block Trade
A block trade for $Amazon (AMZN.US)$ call options that give the holder the right to buy 200,000 shares at $190 each by Aug. 16 was posted at 11:17:07 a.m. New York time Monday. The person or entity that wrote the call options stands to collect a premium of $2.07 million for the trade of contracts priced at $10.35 per share.
While $Amazon (AMZN.US)$ shares are now trading little changed ahead of tomorrow's earnings, we're seeing increased activity in its options market, with calls totalling more than 214,000, almost triple the puts that are now at 74,730 as of 11:43 a.m. in New York. Amazon now has the fifth highest options volume, behind $Tesla (TSLA.US)$, $NVIDIA (NVDA.US)$, $Apple (AAPL.US)$ and $SoFi Technologies (SOFI.US)$
