Amazon Web Services (AWS), the cloud service division of US-based Amazon.com, revealed plans to invest 8 billion pounds (104.5 billion dollars) over the next five years for datacenter construction, operation, and maintenance in the United Kingdom.
The company expects this project to boost the United Kingdom's gross domestic product (GDP) by 14 billion pounds and support over 14,000 jobs in domestic enterprises by the end of 2028.
