$Ambarella (AMBA.US)$ soared more than 25% after hours Tuesday after the semiconductor maker beat analyst estimates for its fiscal Q3 revenues and non-GAAP earnings.
AMBA rose 27.2% to $87.01 shortly before 4:30 p.m. ET after reporting $0.11 in a non-GAAP earnings per share for the three months ended Oct. 31. That's better than the $0.04 that analysts had reportedly expected.
Revenues came in at $82.7 million, beating analysts' $79 million consensus expectation, according to published reports.
Management also issued well-received guidance for fiscal Q4, projecting $76 million-$80 million in revenues.
"With the anticipated revenue growth, we intend to drive positive operating leverage and build upon our 15 consecutive fiscal years of positive free cash flow," President and CEO Fermi Wang said in releasing the guidance.
Ambarella had already hit a 15-month intraday high during Tuesday's regular session. If the stock's Tuesday after-hours gains hold on Wednesday, shares could see their highest regular-session levels since August 2023.
(This story has been corrected to reflect that the company turned a profit rather than a loss on a non-GAAP basis.)
