I have a theory: GME (was) the play, but in order for hedge funds to stop the bleeding they HAD to split the volume (divide and conquer) so they started the AMC rumors and the run and got a portion of the Apes to go over there and it was cheaper. But they didn’t count on how many of us their really are so they lost some control over both until the DTCC allowed legal infinite margin and naked shorting temporarily JUST to stop us thinking we would sell and leave eventually. But we never left and because Apes were about to wipe a SHITLOAD off hedge funds along with ALL the retirement accounts they borrowed against to short. Aka a domino effect that would cause a market Apocalypse. Now they they caused banks to be in the hole a trillion dollars from the borrowing unrealized losses. So back to today. The pressure is still split in two. So if either stock rockets, they HAVE to start pulling funds and attention to that stock to hold it back. When they do that, it frees up some negative pressure on the other allowing it to start running. So when one runs, the other does as well the moment they funnel pressure to one or the other.
