AMD announces it will acquire Silo AI for 0.6 billion 65 million dollars
AMD is a major semiconductor company Nvidia in the AI field (NVDAWhile searching for further competition with), an agreement was announced to acquire the European artificial intelligence laboratory SiLO AI through an all-cash transaction equivalent to 0.6 billion65 million dollars.
As part of the deal, Peter Sahlin, CEO and co-founder of Silo AI, will continue to lead the Silo AI team, and the team will become part of the AMD AI Group. The deal is expected to close later this year.
In a statement, Mr. Sahlin said, “At Silo AI, our mission has been to create an AI flagship company from the beginning. “Today's announcement is a logical next step in our quest to join forces with AMD to shape the future of AI computing.
