The Ministry of Economic Affairs of the Taiwan Government (equivalent to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan) announced on 8/21 that Minister of Economy Guo Zhihui (equivalent to the minister) met with a delegation centered on Mr. David Wang (David Wang), a senior vice president of AMD and a Taiwanese native, and confirmed that AMD has established research and development (R&D) bases in two locations in southern Taiwan, and aims to expand research and development (R&D) capabilities in cooperation with Taiwanese universities and industry.
The Economic Affairs Department of the Taiwan Government has pointed out that it will be possible to maintain an advantage in technological competition going forward by integrating the existing domestic manufacturing system with AMD's advanced technology, and Director Guo introduced the international human resource development plan promoted by Taiwan to AMD, and emphasized that it will continue to advance the development of domestic and international AI human resources in the future. It is said that it encouraged the strengthening of cooperative relationships between AMD and Taiwanese universities.
