$Apple (AAPL.US)$ is reportedly in TALKS with Google to integrate Google's 'Gemini' AI into future iPhone AI features, building on their existing search partnership.
Meanwhile, Apple is also reportedly exploring OpenAI's models for iOS 18 enhancements but aims to use its own AI for on-device operations.
Apple is developing iOS 18 with its own AI but seems to be looking for a partner for cloud-based generative AI capabilities, including image creation and essay writing just from a single prompt.
This could be massive WIN for Google AI and at the same time it suggests Apple may not be as advanced in its AI initiatives as many anticipated.
And for sure, this isn't great news for
