Apple pay has more payment volume than PayPal. But the TAM (Total Addressable Market) is lower because it only gets used on I-phones. And globally Apple only makes up 16% of the smart phone market.
However, $PYPL's TAM is much larger since it's more likely to be used on the other 84% of phones that aren't Apple.
So, I wouldn't be surprised to see PayPal in the top 4 several years from now.
