Apple will unveil the semiconductor "A18" installed in the new iPhone at a new product announcement event on the 9th. It was developed using the latest architecture, the V9, from ARM, an English semiconductor design company under the SoftBank Group. This was reported by the Financial Times on the 7th.
Apple signed a new contract to extend the technology partnership period with ARM until after 2040 in September last year. Apple utilizes ARM's technology in its own unique semiconductor design used in products such as the iPhone, iPad, and Mac series.
In July this year, ARM had revealed that revenue generated from the V9 accounted for 50% of the revenue for smart phones.
