Appropriate risk

Everyone, are the risks you are taking right now?
Here's a short story.
“The Shipwreck and 3 Passengers”
“At one point, a sailboat was wrecked due to a storm. The uninhabited island that flooded in was an island where many fruits grew. It was decided that the sailboat would be repaired on that island and then set sail. Passenger A, passenger B, and passenger C were on board that ship.
Passenger A doesn't know when the repairs will be completed and when it will set sail, so “it would be a big deal if left behind!” I didn't get off the boat because I thought. I was in distress due to a storm, and although I had been hungry for days, I was more worried that the ship would sail, and I decided to put up with my hunger.
Passenger B got off to the island, but as soon as the ship was visible, ate fruit, and saw how repairs to the ship were finished, he hurriedly returned to the ship. I couldn't eat until I was full, but I managed to satisfy my hunger, and I was also able to stay hydrated with fruit.
Passenger C thought, “Since this much was done due to the storm, repairs would not be easy,” and was able to go all the way to the hinterland of the ship and obtain a large amount of fruit. I had already reached a point where I couldn't see the ship, but I concentrated on eating lots of fruit. My stomach was full and I went back to where the ship was, but the ship wasn't there anymore. It sailed earlier. Totally left behind.
After that, passenger A did not get off the ship at all, and died because he couldn't stand malnutrition or dehydration.
Stranded on an uninhabited island, Passenger C was unable to escape and ended his life there. That's a blessing, a blessing, isn't it? '
Do you know the Talmud?
This little story is one of the life compasses of Jews called the Talmud who are said to have excellent brains and are mostly rich and successful. In fact, famous Jewish people are super successful people such as Steven Spielberg, Larry Beige, Mark Zuckerberg, and George Soros. I've introduced “The Shipwreck and the 3 Passengers,” which is one of the oldest discussion collections in the world that conveys the mindset for becoming such a successful person, but what type are you?
This story is about risk control. You will fail even if you are too careful 😔 (passenger A) you will fail even if you are too bold 😞 (passenger C)
So what should I do? It is important to take an “appropriate risk” by calculating risk and return like passenger B, who was eating fruit in a position where the ship can be seen.
Japan's education and climate place too much emphasis on “avoiding risk.” What is necessary is not risk avoidance, but “proper risk.”
I believe that determining one's risk tolerance and making a moderate investment will lead to success. Think about whether you think there's a return worth the risk.
What type of passengers are you? Please try commenting.
