Are you thinking of selling?
For those of you who are thinking of selling your Nvidia shares now, just ask yourself this question. What do you think is the likely price of this stock on 31 Dec 2024 and maybe 30 June 2025? Is it more likely to be $135 or $155 and $200 respectively after the next two results release?
If you don’t sell now and it drops further, you have unrealised losses aka paper loss. When the stock finally rallies, you will be glad you didn’t sell. That day there was this person who posted a screenshot of him buying $4400 of Nvidia stock in 2016 and now the value is 1 million plus. Just imagine if he had sold during Covid then he would have lost out on huge profits.
If you sell at 140 thinking that it will go down to 135 and it suddenly reverses to 150, you’re out of the game.
So don’t fall into the silly mind games of big institutions that release disinformation on overheating this, overheating that just a few days before results release. And then on Wednesday Jensen Huang comes out to say they are on track to fulfill all Blackwell orders in Q4 and the stock rallies.
For companies like Nvidia with such a compelling business, invest with a long term horizon and you will be richly rewarded.
