On March 13, 2024, Arm announced the Arm Automotive Enhanced (AE) processor for self-driving cars and a new development system called Arm Compute Subsystem for Automotive, targeting auto manufacturers and their suppliers. Arm claims that this initiative can "shorten the development cycle of AI-enabled automobiles by up to 2 years."
